Welcome!

I am a professor at Seattle Pacific University.  As a teacher-scholar, I value the opportunity to mentor undergraduate students both in the classroom and in the lab.

I find teaching to be very rewarding because it allows me to train, motivate and shape the lives of my students by instilling knowledge they can use for a lifetime.

Our research aims to understanding how gammaherpesviruses cause cancer by altering host cell metabolism. We are also working to identify metabolic inhibitors that can provide new antiviral treatments.

The experiments in my lab are performed by a team of undergraduate students. I am fully committed to mentoring each of these students and training them to become independent scientist.
